About Dee
Following in his father’s footsteps in the financial industry, Dee Warner began his career in banking and capital finance before serving as a financial advisor. Dee was always taught to help others do what is right, and this philosophy extends to how he treats his clients and his team at Warner, Hood, Hardee & Stroud Wealth Advisors. He practices more than asset management – he helps people transition their wealth from the accumulation stage to the distribution stage of their lives. Dee also works with clients on liability management and coaches them in making prudent financial decisions.
Education
Dee’s degree in political science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill was just the beginning of his educational journey.
Away from the Office
The time, care, and consideration Dee offers to his clients in the office are also exhibited away from this office through his service and commitment to numerous educational, civic, and charitable organizations in his community, including St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, C-100 and Arendell Parrott Academy. He and his wife Sarah have two children, Dee and Lillian. In his free time, he enjoys relaxing on the water or on a golf course.
About David
With over 25 years of industry experience, David Hood is passionate about helping clients plan for their future and build a legacy. As David develops investment plans and manages his clients’ portfolios, he takes a long-term and multigenerational approach to their finances. He has been recognized from 2015-2023 as one of Wells Fargo Advisors Platinum Council* advisors, a distinction held by a select group of Financial Advisors within the firm.
Education
David graduated from East Carolina University with a degree in economics and a minor in business.
Away from the Office
In his free time, David enjoys hunting, fishing, and spending time at the beach. He and his wife, Sonja, have two daughters, Mary Helen, and Hannah. He also contributes to the Boy Scouts of America, the Boys and Girls Club, East Carolina University, Christ Hope Church and many other local charities.

About Justin
A native of Greenville, North Carolina, Justin Hardee has over a decade of experience in the financial services industry. Justin listens to his clients to determine the objectives of each individual, family, or business owner. He works diligently with the investment team to develop customized solutions and implement recommendations. Justin collaborates closely with his clients to ensure that as their lives change, their investment plans continue to support their needs. In 2022, Justin was named in the Wells Fargo Advisors Platinum Council*.
Education
Justin graduated from North Carolina State University where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management. He earned the title of Accredited Asset Management Specialist℠ (AAMS®) from the College for Financial Planning. As an AAMS®, Justin is prepared to identify opportunities in investments, and he is readily equipped in areas such as asset allocation, risk management, insurance, tax-efficient investing, retirement, and estate planning strategies.
Away from the Office
Justin and his wife, Allyson, live in Greenville with their children, Jackson, and Mary Kate. Justin engages in the local community by supporting the Chamber of Commerce, Ducks Unlimited, and Greenville Country Club. He enjoys playing golf, hunting, and spending time on the coast with his family and friends.

About Thomas
Thomas Stroud is passionate about offering unbiased, cost-effective, and personalized solutions for his clients’ various investment and wealth management needs. When working with individuals and families, he builds relationships with them to understand their goals and create innovative plans to work through their challenges.
Education
Thomas is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, having earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in both Economics and English. He subsequently earned his Juris Doctorate Degree from Campbell Law School in 2006. To advance his education in the financial services field, he earned the Retirement Income Certified Professional® (RICP®) designation through the American College of Financial Services. The RICP® certification provides Thomas with a specialization in holistic retirement income planning for clients.
Away from the Office
Thomas grew up in Eastern North Carolina, though he has lived in Greenville now for over 10 years. He and his wife, Ansley, have two sons, Thomas III and Wiles. In his time away from work, Thomas enjoys being on the water, traveling, playing tennis, and attending his children’s school and sporting events. Thomas is also an active supporter and board member of the Pitt Community College Foundation and has previously been a board member of the Greenville Museum of Art and the Pitt County Literacy Volunteers.
About Zach
Zach Goins began his career in financial services in 2012. Zach enjoys the “educator” aspect of being a financial advisor because he’s able to walk his clients through the complexities of their financial lives. He helps his clients create strategies for mitigating financial risk and building their wealth over a long period of time, and he loves seeing the “Aha” moments when they gain an understanding of something new.
Education
Zach graduated from Duke University, and he has earned his Series 7 and 66 registrations, as well as life and health insurance licenses.
Away from the Office
In his free time, Zach enjoys fishing, surfing, and water skiing, and he looks forward to travelling more in the near future. Zach and his wife, Kayla, have a Husky named Leilah. To remain active in his community, he is a member of the Duke Watershed Initiative. He also supports the Colonial Capital Humane Society, and is a proud member of the New Bern Rotary.
About Lauren
Serving a variety of operational needs of the team, Lauren loves helping clients and working at Warner, Hood, Hardee & Stroud Wealth Advisors because of their dedication to making their client’s lives easier. Lauren’s responsibilities include technology and marketing management, customer support, account maintenance, asset movement, and estate processing. She has worked in the financial services industry for over 15 years and enjoys the opportunity to get to know clients and watch them transition through life’s milestones.
Education
Lauren attended Northern Kentucky University and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a minor in human service management.
Away from the Office
Lauren is a Kentucky native and began working in the financial industry in 2008. She then moved to North Carolina in 2016 and joined Warner, Hood, Hardee & Stroud Wealth Advisors. Lauren and her husband, Chris, live in Greenville with their five children: Landon, Liam, Brody, Brock, and Isla. Their family has two beloved golden retrievers Hazel and Winston. In her free time, Lauren enjoys spending time with her family, fishing, traveling, graphic design, and spending time by the water.
About Sheryl
With over 26 years of experience at Wells Fargo Advisors, Sheryl Tyer oversees and manages client relationships, scheduling client reviews, team operations, and other various client services. She loves working directly with people and has had the opportunity to build long-lasting relationships with clients as the team helps them achieve their needs.
Education
Sheryl earned her associate degree in marketing from Lenoir Community College.
Away from the Office
Sheryl and her husband, Tommy, have two daughters, Victoria, and Olivia. They also have a grandson named Charlie and two granddaughters, Nora and Amelia. As an active member of her community, Sheryl and her husband lead the children’s ministry at Oak Forest Church of Christ.
About Amber
Prior to joining the team in 2014, Amber Staup worked in banking for a decade in Texas. After moving to North Carolina, Amber began her position with Warner, Hood, Hardee & Stroud Wealth Advisors. She serves the team’s clients in a variety of ways from customer support and asset movement to estate processing. Amber also leads the team in running their contact management system, as well as team operations and process management. She enjoys working with a group of people who care about each other and want to see their clients succeed.
Away from the Office
Amber lives in Kinston, NC, with her husband, William, and their dog, Bailey. She is actively involved in the Girl Scouts and has served in many different volunteer positions, her favorite being Day Camp Director. In 2016 and 2020, Amber earned the Distinguished Service Award from the Girl Scouts North Carolina Coastal Pines.
